Kilimanjaro 8 Days Umbwe Route

Day 1: Commence your 8-day Kilimanjaro trek on the challenging Umbwe Route,

 starting from the Umbwe Gate. Trek through dense rainforests, encountering unique flora and fauna. Reach the Umbwe Camp, situated at an altitude of 2,900 meters, for your first overnight stop amidst the captivating sounds of the forest.

Day 2: Ascend through the lush vegetation of the rainforest,

 gaining elevation as the landscape transforms. Reach the Barranco Camp at 3,960 meters, nestled beneath the impressive Barranco Wall. This intermediate point serves as a crucial acclimatization stop, preparing you for the higher altitudes.

Day 3: Continue your ascent through alpine meadows and moorlands,

 offering panoramic views of Kilimanjaro's southern icefields. Arrive at the Karanga Camp, situated at 4,035 meters, where you'll rest and acclimatize.

Day 4: Navigate the challenging Barranco Wall,

a thrilling climb rewarding you with breathtaking vistas. Traverse the alpine desert, reaching the Barafu Camp at 4,600 meters. This high-altitude camp serves as your base for the summit bid.

Day 5: Summit day unfolds with a pre-dawn start.

Traverse the challenging terrain, reaching the Stella Point before the final push to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro. Descend to the Mweka Camp, celebrating your accomplishment.

Day 6: Descend through moorlands and rainforests,

 retracing your steps towards the Mweka Gate. Arrive at the trailhead, where your 8-day Umbwe Route adventure concludes. Reflect on the challenges and achievements during the descent.

Day 7-8: Continue the descent through the rainforest,
